In 2021, Lanerossi decided to collaborate with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE , a global community that aspires to clean up the seas from plastic pollution.

The SEAQUAL INITIATIVE wants to clean up seas, rivers, beaches and seabeds by involving NOGs, fishermen, local authorities and communities. The different types of collected material are then sorted and the plastic, which is more difficult to recycle, is transformed into Upcycled Marine Plastic .

Lanerossi, as partner of SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, has chosen to use this new raw material – fully traceable and eco-sustainable – to create Ocean . The plaid comes from the combination of SEAQUAL YARN, the yarn made with plastic recovered from the sea, and recycled wool. Very soft to the touch and resistant like all Lanerossi products , this plaid flaunts a modern taste, perfect for decorating the living area or for draping the foot of the bed.
